Our Worship

Why We Do What We Do:

At LOC, we believe in an extravagant and joyful lifestyle of both personal and corporate worship. It is an honour to worship the living God! Therefore, we encourage all attendees to be active in worship - not just outwardly, but as an expression of honour and thanksgiving from the depths of our hearts!!

Why do we sing?
"I will give you thanks...and sing praises to your name!” - Psalms 18:49
"Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord" - Ephesians 5:19

Why do we clap our hands?
"O clap your hands, all ye people..." - Psalms 47:1

Why do we shout?
"Let them shout for joy, and be glad..." - Psalms 35:27
"...shout unto God with the voice of triumph!" - Psalms 47:1

Why do we lift our hands?
"...pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting." - 1Timohty 2:8
"Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD" - Psalms 134:2

Why do we dance?
"Praise him with the tumbrel and dance..." - Psalms 150:4
'...and then they went out with tambourines and dancing!" - Exodus 15:20

Why do we sing in tongues and in English?
“…I will sing with the spirit and with understanding” – 1 Corinthians 14:15b
